Fuel might keep your train moving in Dead Sails, but cash is king when it comes to actually surviving. Without money, you can't buy more fuel, better guns, precious ammo, or those life-saving healing items. This guide is all about helping you figure out which shiny objects and random bits you find are actually worth hauling back to sell, so you can make the most money on your dangerous trek.
To make money in Dead Sails, you'll be looting buildings and picking up all sorts of stuff. Knowing what's valuable and what's just junk is key, especially since your trusty sack can only hold 10 items.
Knowing what things are worth helps you decide what's worth carrying. Here's a list of known item values.
These items generally give you the most cash and are worth hauling back.
These items don't sell for much. They might be better used as emergency fuel if possible, or just left behind if you need space for more valuable loot.
Found weapons can also be sold if you have duplicates or prefer a different firearm.
Focus on grabbing those gold and silver items, bandit bodies, and higher-value monster corpses to maximize your earnings at the Trading Post and Sheriff!
As you travel, you'll explore buildings and find tons of items. Your goal is to grab the stuff that sells for the most cash.
This trick entirely depends on your starting class, as this can be only done as the Medic. Healing items can be sold for a pretty penny in Dead Sails, and as the Medic you can sometimes randomly spawn/drop healing items. Meaning, that if you stand still for a while, and time is not of the essence, you can spawn healing items, pop them into your sack, and then sell them. Rinse and repeat for a while and you'll build up a nice stash of currency before embarking on your journey.
