Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular - Australia's Greatest Beer & Food Festival
The Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS) is Australia’s premier beer and food festival and celebrates the diversity of craft beer and the creativity of the breweries with the best craft breweries from Australia and around the world brewing ‘Festival Beers’ specifically for the event.
The unique festival was started in 2012 by Steve Jeffares and Guy Greenstone, owners of the multi-award winning Local Taphouse beer bars. It showcases more than 300 beers (including 120 ‘Festival Beers’), brewery stands, fantastic local food, beer and education classes, games and live entertainment.
Held in Melbourne (as part of Good Beer Week) and Sydney each May, GABS has been named one of the 20 best beer festivals in the world by the prestigious Beer Connoisseur magazine.
The GABS 2015 app has the following features:

* Vote in the People's Choice Award
* Add and share ratings/reviews of your sampled festival beers onto Social Media and Untappd (requires a valid Untappd account).
Required permissions information:
- Full Network Access/Receive data from Internet/View Network Connections: used to get data updates as beers get scratched/sold out etc, to vote in the People's Choice Award, and to connect with Social Media and Untappd.
- Run at start-up and Prevent phone from sleeping: used to provide reminders before a favourite event is about to start.
